Blimey, it was hot.

Here in Manhattan it was too hot last week for much posting. It peaked at about 92 (on the old-world temperature thingy), and it was really humid to boot. Luckily, the Feeders are in training for a trip to Engalnd, so they were prepared to turn the only air conditioner we have up to "Arctic" setting (11 on the Spinal Tap scale), so hopefully they will be fully prepared for the full force of this English summer!

Here I am, hogging the full force of the arctic blast (temporarily, as Fritz "of the Antarctic," relishes this perch too).

Without the air conditioning on in the bedroom, our fisking activities were limited. Not much else to do other than sit around as expansively and handsomely as possible: Here, together -

And here's Fritz looking very cool and distinguished in adversely humid conditions - cool as a cucumber!

Of course, I can do that too:

Well, as it's me posting, and if it's too hot to move, I'll happily oblige the photographers with some of my best poses:

But, the vanity backfires: just as I look left for my best profile shot (even though I say so myself) .....

Then, to my right, distracting my moment in the limelight, what do you think that ginger blur might be?

I'll tell you what it might be....jealous!

Both of you are tremendously goodlooking! great shots Ernest. we are pleased that your feeders are keeping it comfortable for you two. Here it is also roasting outside (or so we believe, they refuse to open the door or window for us) and it is quite chilly here. I keep snuggled in my bloo blankie.

Happy Day to both of you

Tee hee! Great photos!

We don't like the a/c much. We prefer the 80s, 90s, well, not the hundreds. But Maw & Paw like the a/c.

With all our unusual rain this year, the temps have remained cool. Otherwise it would be nasty by now.

Nope, Orinch won't be coming in with the rest of us. There isn't enough room for 10 of us, let alone an 11th!!!

Oah dear, I am also hot in here.
I can understand your position.

Just, stay in shadow will be better.
Don't stay in sun for too long, it is not good if you got sunstroke.

Great poses, Ernest! It is very hot here too. I like that word, "Blimey." I am going to add it to my vocabulary and try to use it whenever I can.

"Blimey, I am hungry!"

I liked looking at both of you but am sorry it is so hot and humid. China Cat loves heat and humidity but I prefer it to be cooler so I like to stay in with my Food Lady in the air conditioning! China Cat would lay out in the porch, in the sunshine, all day if my Food Lady would let her!

Tell us about it!
It is 110 here.... BUT it is a dry heat - until the monsoon starts, that is.....
Just sleep. Marble is good to cool off.

It's furry good that your feeders are testin' the a/c prior to their trip. I like ours set at "sub-arctic" so that my fur gets a nice little chill.

Happy Fourth of July to you and your fambly!

Sadie and I are fans of the a/c, Zippy likes it a little warmer, she loves to go outside when it's in the 90's and lay in the grass.
